Special pyrotechnic vehicle of heavy type (PM-H)


Functional purpose of the PM-H:

  • prompt delivery by road of all categories of pyrotechnics, special property and equipment to the places of detection of explosive ordnance (EOD);
  • lifting of reinforced concrete and steel structures and other cargoes using pneumatic and hydraulic tools;
  • loading and unloading of EOD using a hydraulic manipulator;
  • transportation of small and large caliber of explosive materials.

II. Crew cabin:


Fully armored, closed, all-metal salon type, single-row, equipped with 2 seats (including the driver), protected from the blast wave in case of possible detonation of explosive objects transported in the cargo compartment.
The cab is armored (according to DSTU 3975-2000 “Protection of armored specialized vehicles. General technical requirements”, protection class – PZSA-4 / STANAG Level 1) is equipped with heated bulletproof glass.


III. Protective wall

It is designed to protect the crew in the PM-H cabin from flying debris and shock waves in the event of detonation during the transportation of explosive items.
The protective wall is solid, has an angle of inclination of 20 degrees towards the cab, is located between the special equipment compartment and the cargo compartment and is part of the cargo compartment. Protection class in accordance with DSTU 3975-2000 «Armor protection of specialized vehicles. General technical requirements» PZSA-6 / STANAG Level 3.


IV. Crane manipulator unit

Located behind the cargo compartment.
It is designed to perform loading and unloading operations.


V. Cargo compartment.

Cargo compartment, armored (according to DSTU 3975 2000 “Protection of armored specialized vehicles. General technical requirements”, protection class – PZSA-4 / STSNAG Level 1).
It is designed for transportation of explosive ordnance, explosives and means of detonation, as well as ensuring the safety of civilians during the transportation of explosive objects within populated areas.


VI. Compartment for special equipment:

It is located between the cab and the cargo compartment of the machine and is designed to accommodate and transport equipment, technological equipment and tools for pyrotechnic work to the workplace.
The special equipment compartment contains storage and transportation spaces with fasteners and niches for stacking special tools, spare tools and accessories.
The equipment is conveniently placed on the shelves and has easy access.

The heavy-type pyrotechnic machine (PM-V) is equipped with special tools, spare tools and accessories in accordance with the specification agreed with the Customer.
